At an initial stage: manually tune guitars or use a tuner?

Hey! Im back after a long time....I guess, and I am weirdly using pink right now, which is my least favorite color. Anyways. So I saw this guy (don't wanna  mention the place) and he was insisting on using a tuner. He did not have one, and he could not tune his untuned guitar. As usual, I thought about posting this. Actually, this post title is kept as a draft for a long time. But anyway, now I am typing this out and then posting it. So enjoy!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay, now this is more of a narrative thing to post so I cannot do it in points. However, I will try to make it easier.

                                                 Basic Problem

The basic problem usually faced by people is that when they start learning, many of the teachers say,"get yourself a tuner. You are a beginner, so you won't be used to the sounds." Here, what they don't understand is that once you are accustomed to the tuner, you won't be able to get rid of it. Rather, it would be tough. Its possible, so those of you who are accustomed to it do not worry, just keep trying. If you give up now, its all over. So you better keep trying. Thus, we can say that the basic problem is that once one is accustomed to a tuner it would be difficult for him to quit it.

Working on getting rid of it

Now, for those of you who are accustomed to it. Those of you who wanted tips, you can stop reading this post. But those who are accustomed to it, I would tell you to go on reading, because I am going to give you simple but effective tips to get rid of the habit.

So the first thing you have to do, is take a tuned guitar and keep playing one string open, say string number 5. Once you think that you know the sound well and can recognize it, you can go on and untune your fifth string. Once you have done that, try to tune it back. Now, you will need a tuner to check your accuracy. Of course, since you are a human, you can't get it perfect, but if you can get it close to perfect, you are set. Keep doing this over and over again and with all strings. Practice this regularly and you should be fine.

                                               Fifth-fret cheat code

At least that's what I call it. Its very common, but for those of you who are accustomed to using your tuner, do not do this before getting the above steps right. So this, is if you really need it to maximum accuracy. But for you tuner-addicted people, just so you know, for this trick also you will have to have one string tuned. So there is no escape from tuning it by ear anyway. For those who are starters, learn to get your ears to sense when a string is untuned. So now, lets go on with learning the fifth-fret cheat code, which I often use.

First, lets say you tune your sixth string of your untuned guitar. That is the "E" string. So hold the fifth fret of your "E" string and play the open "A" string  i.e. the fifth string. They both should sound the same. If they don't, that means your "A" string is untuned. If they sound the same, it signifies that your A string is in sync with E string, which means its tuned. The same can be done by holding the "A"/5th string 5th fret and playing the open D/4th string. They should sound the same. This can go on with every string, except the "G"/3rd string.

With the G/3rd string, you have to hold the 4th fret of the G/3rd string and play open B/2nd string. This should do it. For the rest of the strings, it should be the 5th fret. The only exception was the G/3rd string.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey guys. I am using pink again. Ha! Anyways...I hope you enjoyed reading this and more than that, I hope it helped. Typing out the "fifth-fret cheat code" really got my brains and hands working, because I was thinking how to present it in the simplest way. So, the best option is NOT to use a tuner. That is the real challenge, and its fun. Okay. Thank you for reading. Please subscribe to my blog, and please search for my youtube channel where the video explanations are. Thanks a lot.
